Hoists

Hoist designed for vertical or inclined interlevel movement of goods in special load bearing devices (booths, cages, buckets, trays, skips, trucks, etc.), suspended from ropes or chains and moving on rigid vertical (less inclined) to direct or rail track.

Cage elevators (called lifts) are intended solely for the vertical movement of goods and people in the stands moving in rigid rails. They have many applications in various industries, as well as in stores and in homes. Cage lifts divided into passenger and freight. Trucks are further divided on the actual cargo, cargo-passenger (cargo with a guide), and small trade (for food companies and retail establishments). By the nature of the drive, they are divided on the electrical, hydraulic and lifts with manual transmission. The most widely used are hoists with electric. Speed of freight elevators in the range of 0.1-1.5 m / s. Conventional passenger lifts have a speed v = 0,5-3,5 m / s. Basic data of passenger and freight electric lifts are normalized according to GOST 5745-51. Load capacity passenger lifts is usually calculated on the rise 0.25-1.5 m; hoists raise 0,25-15 m and small commodity - 50-100 kg. The main part of the cage electric hoist are: stand or stall, guide devices for the stand, mine, contrast, bodies suspension, winch, safety devices, electrical control.

Hoists are used primarily in warehouses for laying in piles massive piece goods. In addition, they are also used for some loading. Hoists are divided into non-self (stacker) and self-propelled.
